Cold compress or chilling effect on tired and puffy eyes can be soothing. Usage of icy chilled packs can settle down the swelling under eyes and give them their sparkling effect.

  1. You can splash ice cold water on your face, right after waking up. This will help in case you have only 10 minutes to get ready and move out.
  2. You can rest an ice cube on the inner corner of your eyes and then gently press down towards the outer corners. This exercise has to be repeated several times so as to run out the fluid stored under your eyes causing puffy eye look.
  3. You can also cover a pack of frozen peas with a wash cloth and cover your face with it. Keep it for 15 minutes and then wash with normal water. Pack of frozen peas can contour your face well.
  4. You can refrigerate couple of table spoons overnight and use them to press eyes for 10 minutes. Do not forget to splash your face with water afterwards.
  5. Place chilled tea bags on your eyes for 15 minutes and relax. Green tea and chamomile tea are best suited for this purpose. You have to steep green or chamomile tea bag in a cup of boiling water and let it cool down to room temperature. Sip tea and let used tea bags cool down in refrigerator for few hours. Use them as a soothing eye pack and say good bye to puffy eyes.

  • Soak cotton balls in warm (not too hot) bowl of milk and apply this on your puffy eyes. Let it be there for some 15 minutes and then rinse off with water. This helps in retaining water in your eyes too. In case you have regularly puffed eyes you can practice doing this daily for few weeks to get rid of them.
  • Soak cotton balls in tomato juice mixed with lemon. Apply this for 10 minutes and then wash off with cool water.
  • Grate chilled cucumber and mix lemon juice in it. Make a paste and apply on your puffy eyes. Let it sit there for 20 minutes and then wash off gently by massaging with your finger tips with water. This eye mask wil also help to get rid of dark circles.
  • Grate two potatoes and make them in a paste form. Apply this on your puffy areas in similar way as you have applied cucumber pack. Potatoes have bleaching properties. Opting for a nap while this potato mask id working on your eyes can be really beneficial.
  • Apply Vitamin E or almond oil on your puffy eyes for all night. Wash off your face with cold water in the morning. Vitamin E helps in providing nutrients to the skin around eye and let the tiring fluid that looks as puffiness below eyes move out.

These eye packs are simple to use and the ingredients required are easily available in your kitchen and refrigerator. If you regularly have swollen, puffy eyes problem due to any reason, it is advised that you should use these packs daily for few weeks to reduce puffiness and till the results starts appearing.
